CONCEPT

We cannot continue to be so wasteful: So many clothes, clothes seldom or never worn. If this is you, it’s time to change: Purge, rehome, recycle. Learn what suits you and wear it: Be yourself, buy less, feel good. This is the essence of grassetstyle.

Starting from the 13 September 2019, I’m going to encourage as many people as I can to buy fewer clothes.  I’m committing to buying no new clothes, shoes and accessories for 365 days and to doing my very best to raise a significant amount of money for life-saving cancer research and sustainability projects at The Gordon Schools, Huntly. It’s called GS365NNC.

Grassetstyle

ABOUT

GS365NNC is my acronym for grassetstyle 365 No New Clothes. Until 13 September 2020 I will be abstaining from any new clothes, shoes and accessories and organising a number of fun events focused on raising money and reducing landfill.  The money raised will be shared between Cancer Research UK and The Gordons School, Huntly.

So by now you are probably wondering why? In 2020, it will be 10 years since my good friend Gill died from pancreatic cancer. She is often in my thoughts along with too many others for whom I wish there had been a cure.

Cancer Research UK is the world’s largest charity dedicated to saving lives through research, its vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

The Gordons Schools (TGS) is my son’s and his two older sisters’ secondary school.  Young people today face a devastating environmental legacy. This money will support ongoing and future sustainability projects at the school helping them to blaze a trail.
